“It is known that the built environment is responsible for 35-40% of energy consumption and Co2 emissions, so urgent action is needed. All companies involved in the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of our buildings must contribute.”

“Spatial Dimensions are committed to working with the entire sector to develop long term sustainable solutions and we are looking forward to contributing to the UKGBC’s mission in any way we can.”

About the UK Green Building Council

The UK Green Building Council is uniting the UK building industry using sustainability as a catalyst to positively transform the places people use every day.

A charity with over 400 member organisations spanning the entire sector, UKGBC represent the voice of the industry’s current and future leaders who are striving for transformational change.

UKGBC was launched by the construction and property industry at the Ecobuild exhibition in London in February 2007. They were originally established to offer clarity, cohesion and leadership to a disparate sector, and to campaign for a sustainable built environment.

Mission

The UKGBC Mission is to radically improve the sustainability of the built environment, by transforming the way it is planned, designed, constructed, maintained and operated.

Vision

  • Mitigating and adapting to climate change
  • Eliminating waste and maximising resource efficiency
