Staying safe, while we stay open
May 11, 2020
The health & well being of our team & clients is always our number one priority for us here at Spatial Dimensions. In line with UK government guidance, we have updated the way we work during this COVID19 pandemic.
We are open for business, helping our clients with their work.
This short video below shows how we are all staying safe, while we stay open.
All our office based staff are either working remotely from home or in shifts at the office to maintain social distance, but we have changed the way we carry out our work on site.
The key changes are as follows:-
- Surveyors will travel to and from site alone by vehicle.
- For vacant sites and buildings, handover of keys can be collected safely by us from distance or posted.
- For occupied site & buildings, a full risk assessment and method statement is produced prior to attendance.
- Surveyors will maintain a safe social distance of 2m at all times.
- Correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be worn at all times
- We can then carry out the surveys as normal.
- Surveyors will maintain good hygiene practice, in line with UK government advice
- On completion of the site survey, keys can be posted or handed back safely.
Together these steps will help keep everyone safe, so we can continue to operate for those that need us most.

These were developed in line with the defined duties in the Approved Code of Practice to the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
Acclaim Accreditation is a registered SSIP member scheme.

Safety Schemes in Procurement an umbrella body of 3rd party assessment schemes promoting a common standard Health & Safety Stage 1 assessment, following ACOP Appendix 4.
The HSE encourages clients to accept a valid accreditation from any of the SSIP forum member schemes. SSIP schemes provide a valid demonstration that suppliers have met Stage 1 of the Core Criteria. Buyers won’t require any further evidence at this stage. A HSE document on SSIP can be found here.
