We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our rapidly growing team who can demonstrate key skills in land and measured building surveying, together with the ability to process survey data and produce final Cad drawings. The candidate should ideally be capable of working individually, as well as part of a team, with an emphasis on quality and attention to detail. A proven track record in this field will need to be demonstrated.
The Geomatics Surveyor will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of topographical and measured building surveys using Leica total stations, GNSS and laser scanners. You will need to process and analyse survey data as well as produce 2D & 3D Cad drawings alongside other survey reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be required, to liaise with colleagues and clients.
The candidate will need to effectively plan small to medium sized projects, and assist project managers to correctly scope their projects with appropriate inputs, outputs, implementation activities, verification and technical review.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
- Total station and GPS knowledge.
- Laser scanning and processing.
- Survey data processing skills.
- AutoCad drafting skills.
- Time management skills with an emphasis on delivery.
- Be aware of hazards and be capable of understanding how to manage risk.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Proficient skills in MS Word, MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Full driving license required.
- Excellent attention to detail and methodical work approach
- Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards efficiency and improvements
- Super organised
- Good at juggling tasks and prioritising
- A great team player
- A desire to show initiative
- Eager to learn new skills and qualities
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
Ideally the candidate will have a specific geomatics qualification, either as part of their main degree, HND or as a specialist module in an engineering based qualification. However, candidates with suitable skills and experience can also qualify.
The candidate will need to hold a current CSCS Card or obtain one within 3 months of joining.
You’ll work 40 hours a week, from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Annual leave is 20 days plus bank holidays
